ANPS cameras will track you down!

These ANPS cameras work with a lot of precision

This year, they are expected to work more

With Bengaluru being notorious for its traffic, traffic violations have become very frequent.

Violations range from wrong-side riding to jumping signals to talking while riding. Daily, the traffic police fine violators, but not all violators are brought to book. So, the police have installed what’s called Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras which can easily track violators, even if they hoodwink the traffic cops.

In the bygone year itself, as many as 3,35,818 were registered. Here is the data related to two particular months.

In October, 1,44,869 signal-jumping cases were registered.

In November, 1035 mobile driving cases were registered.

In all these cases, the traffic police have issued notices to violators. This year, the cameras will be in action more frequently, with an increase in violations.

More on ANPS cameras

You may be surprised to know that ANPR cameras can read and digitalise vehicles’ number plates in real time. Moreover, these cameras can detect/record and even transmit data on their own, which means they don’t even need servers or even triggers.
