Bengaluru: 21-year-old killed in collision with BMTC bus

    The incident occurred at the Madiwala flyover

    She was on a two-wheeler which was passing close to the bus

    her husband Gurumurthy and her 1-year-old daughter Ganavi escaped death

A 21-year-old woman named Seema died after a collision with a Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) bus. The back tyre of the bus hit her body resulting in an instant death. The incident occurred at the Madiwala flyover near the Silk Board Junction at 6:30 PM on December 13th. 

She was on a two-wheeler which was passing close to the bus. A collision occurred throwing her out of the bike. It is then that she came in contact with the tyre of the bus. By a stroke of luck, her husband Gurumurthy and her 1-year-old daughter Ganavi escaped death. 

Gurumurthy was employed in the Singasandra branch of the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM). He was a Lineman for over a period of 8 years. Both were natives of Srikantapura in the Gudekote village of the Vijayanagara district. They were in Bengaluru for employment prospects. Seema’s body was examined in the St Johns hospital after her death. The incident occurred within the limits of the Madiwala police station. The bus driver and conductor feld from the spot.
