22-year-old fabricator taken into custody by Begur Police
Killer Dilkhush from Varanasi was residing in city for three months
Dilkhush claims he faced excessive work pressure from Gulfam
A 22-year-old fabricator named Dilkhush has been taken into custody by Begur Police in Bengaluru for the alleged murder of his colleague, Gulfam.
The incident, which occurred at a building in Devarachikkanahalli (DC Halli), is said to have stemmed from Dilkhush’s claim of facing excessive work pressure.
Dilkhush, originally from Varanasi and residing in the city for three months, reportedly engaged in frequent arguments with Gulfam, a native of Murshidabad in Uttar Pradesh. The disagreements arose from Gulfam’s purported assertion of greater experience in their field and his alleged insistence that Dilkhush work extended hours. Frustrated by the ongoing pressure, Dilkhush purportedly attacked Gulfam with a stone while the latter was asleep in the building.
The incident was brought to light when a relative of Gulfam, residing in the city, filed a missing person complaint at the Begur Police Station. Suspicions were aroused when Dilkhush abruptly left for Varanasi following the alleged crime. In less than 24 hours, the police traced and apprehended Dilkhush in Varanasi.
During the course of the investigation, Dilkhush reportedly admitted to committing the crime in response to Gulfam’s persistent pressure to work longer hours. The police have registered a murder case at the Begur Police Station in connection with the incident.
