Sandalwood actor Ravikiran is facing accusations of fraud. A complaint has been filed against him by members of the Television Cultural and Sports Club in the Subramanyapura Police Station.

The club is dedicated to actors working in television serials for more than 20 years. It was built by grants provided by the government. More than Rs 3 crore have been spent for the construction of the club. More than 1000 television actors are part of the club.

Ravikiran has been the Secretary of the club ever since its inception. He has been accused of favouritism with regard to the grant of a contract related to the club to his brother. He has also supposedly not paid the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) tax. This was despite the fact that money was collected from members for this purpose. Ravikiran was suspended when this issue came to the forefront.

Despite a ban on his entry, he is said to have come into the club and taken money worth lakhs of rupees. This led to a heated argument that ended up getting escalated to the extent of a police complaint being filed. Artists have pledged to agitate against Ravikiran.
