Bengaluru: After NewsFirst exposes teacher dozing off during classes, DDPI steps in, suspends her

    DDPI hasn't reacted kindly to her indifference

NewsFirst team had put out a story exposing how a teacher Mangala at a government school in Bengaluru would keep dozing off during classes and spend most of her time using her mobile phone.

As the news gained traction, authorities have taken punitive action against her. She has now been suspended for dereliction. It has also released a circular in this regard.

The authorities concerned held an investigation in this regard. As per the report, it had come to light that the teacher was irresponsible, thereby causing irreparable damage to the future academic prospects of the students. Keeping this in mind, no less an authority than the DDPI has issued such a circular in this regard.

As per records, the primary school has 37 students, studying from class 1-5. In her absence, the school headmaster has been asked to fill in for the suspended teacher. The headmaster has also been asked to fill up the vacancy in the next 7 days.
