You will be informed about ambulances stuck in traffic: MN Anucheth
The travel route of the ambulance will be uploaded
Drivers would also be informed about the status of the upcoming signals
The traffic related concerns of the Bengaluru city have earned it a reputation at a national level. This is of particular concern to patients waiting on ambulances. It is a matter of life and death. The traffic police have now devised a plan to deal with this problem. An app would be created to ensure the smooth commute of ambulances.
Ambulance drivers have kept their own lives at stake for their profession. There are close to 3000 operational ambulances across Bengaluru on any given day. The siren is proving to be insufficient in dealing with the traffic crisis. “The precise details of ambulances across the city would be known to you through this app. You will be informed about ambulances stuck in traffic,” MN Anucheth, the Joint Commissioner of Traffic Police stated.
The travel route of the ambulance will be uploaded. The contact details of the officials responsible for the traffic management can be verified. This can aid the ambulance driver to take the suitable path to reach the patient at the earliest. Patients will be alerted if the Ambulance has halted in front of a signal for more than 60 seconds. Drivers would also be informed about the status of the upcoming signals. The app is planned on being released within a month.
