The Bengaluru Apartments Federation has teamed up with NewsFirst for the #HALFBUCKETBATHCHALLENGE campaign, aimed at conserving water.
This initiative encourages residents to embrace the Half Bucket Challenge, advocating for the prudent use of water resources. Additionally, the federation is spearheading Save Water campaign across apartment complexes, urging residents to refrain from unnecessary water consumption.
As part of this endeavour, NewsFirst and federation members are actively engaging with various apartment communities throughout Bengaluru to raise awareness and address water conservation concerns. Initiatives include promoting alternatives such as the use of robots for cleaning, reducing car washing frequency, and educating children on responsible water usage.
Furthermore, the campaign emphasizes the reuse of RO reject water for tasks like car washing and operating air coolers. By closing swimming pools and discouraging excessive water usage practices like showering, NewsFirst and the Federation seek to instill a culture of mindful water conservation among apartment dwellers and everyone.

– Advice not to use the shower in the apartment
– Request to accept the half bucket challenge
– If a bucket is 25 litres, it is suggested to bathe in half a bucket of water
– Cleaning the house is best done every other day
– It is advisable to mop the house with a robot in 200 ml of water
– Stop washing the car frequently, advise to use cloth for cleaning
– Advise children to inform them about proper use of water
– Use water wisely, advice to be a guide for children
– Suggestion to use RO waste water for car, air cooler
