The investigation pertaining to the Rameshwaram Cafe Blast has had significant developments. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has uncovered key details about the suspect in the case. The baseball cap worn by the suspect aided the investigation. 

On March 1st, the suspect entered the Rameshwaram Cafe with a cap. The cap served as a lead for investigators. It is supposedly a baseball cap. Furthermore it is a branded limited edition cap. 

It is popular among youngsters. 400 pieces of this cap have been sold thus far. In South India, it is only available in retail stores and through online purchase. The cap has a serial number attached to it. 

The suspect purchased the cap in a mall in Tamil Nadu. He was accompanied by another individual while making the purchase. The CCTV visuals of the day he made the purchase was procured by the NIA. Their faces were clearly visible in the CCTV visuals. 

Both the individuals have been identified as belonging to Karnataka. Musaveer Hussain and Matheen Taha hail from the Shivamogga district. They were staying in a lodge in Tamil Nadu for 2 months. Efforts to nab them are underway.
