In response to increasing concerns over hazardous trees in the city, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has launched a comprehensive initiative to mitigate risks posed by deteriorating trees. This move follows recent incidents where dry trees and branches have fallen due to wind and rain, causing damage to public property.

The BBMP has now appointed special officers dedicated to the immediate clearance of dangerous trees. These officers will act swiftly upon receiving alerts from the public. To streamline the process, the Corporation has publicly released contact numbers for residents to report hazardous trees.

The BBMP is urging citizens to provide information about trees in precarious conditions. Residents are encouraged to send details and photos via WhatsApp to designated numbers assigned to each of the eight zones in the city. This approach aims to ensure that reports are addressed promptly, minimizing the risk of accidents.
