A few months ago, a mother and her child were reduced to ashes as they stepped on a live wire unknowingly in Bengaluru.

The incident sent shockwaves across the country and. BESCOM, the company that provides electricity to Bengaluru was also pulled up.

In order to thwart the recurrence of such events, it had also issued a deadline of December 31 to rectify and repair dangerously hanging electric wires and poles that are inclined.
