Bengaluru: BMTC to provide metro feeder buses to companies on contract basis

Feeder Metro buses will be provided to companies on a contract basis by the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). This scheme has been introduced in light of the metro service services being extended to the outskirts of the Whitefield region. This would encourage the use of public transport among office goers. 

The amount for this ranges from Rs 4000 to Rs 12000 on a daily basis. Any organisation in the Whitefield region can apply for this service. Colleges, schools and factories can also apply for this service. 

The midibus will cost Rs 4000 for the first 80 Kilometres of travel and subsequently Rs 60 per kilometre. The normal buses will cost Rs 5000 for the first 80 kilometres of travel and subsequently Rs 70 per travel. The B.S-6 buses will cost Rs 6000 for the first 80 kilometres of travel and subsequently Rs 80 per kilometre. The Volvo buses will cost Rs 8000 for the first 80 kilometres of travel and subsequently Rs 90 per kilometre. The 9-metre long I.S buses will cost Rs 9000 for the first 80 kilometres of travel and subsequently Rs 100 per kilometre. The 12-metre I.S buses will cost Rs 12000 for the first 80 kilometres of travel and subsequently Rs 100 per kilometre.
