The Rameshwaram cafe at Kundalahalli, which witnessed two bomb blasts last Friday, will reopen, perhaps on Shivaratri. 

The festival is on March 8. 

Earlier today, sleuths of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) visited it and held a mahajar. Now, it has been handed over back to its owners. The owners have also gotten the requisite permission to reopen the case.

The entire city of Bengauru was shocked as two blasts ripped Rameshwaram cafe at 1: 07pm last Friday, in a span of 10 seconds. 

The blasts injured as many as 10 people. No casualties were reported. The suspect, who walked into the cafe, ate rava idlies, placing a bag on the premises. Later, he walked away. As per initial reports, he had set a time gap of 1 ½ hours for the explosion so as to escape the boundaries of Bengaluru quickly.

The CCTVs installed have captured the suspect’s movements. The police have launched a manhunt for him. 

ISIS involved?

NIA fears the involvement of ISIS and Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen in carrying out the attacks. In this regard, the sleuths are studying histories of those arrested who had association with ISIS.
