Officials suspect that a forged construction plan was shown to them

An alleged instance of the flouting of norms for the illegal construction of a building has come to the forefront in the Huskur gram panchayat located in the Anekal taluk which lies in the outskirts of Bengaluru. The accusation has been made on the prestigious Chaitanya Techno School. 

Owner Chalasani Udaya Shankar is under the radar for the construction in the Gulimangala and Gottamaranahalli villages. Apart from a violation of the Planning Authority rules, he has also been accused of not obtaining the construction plan approval from the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA). The necessary licence from the local gram panchayat is also said to be absent. The construction stretches across an area of 3 acres. The construction of the ground floor and the second floor are complete. The plan was to construct a 5-storey building. 

The residents of that particular village have filed a complaint with regard to this construction. Acting on the complaint, the Executive Officer of the Anekal Taluk Panchayat Manjunath.K and the Panchayat Development Officer (PDO) of the Huskur Gram Panchayat Anusooya visited the location for conducting investigations. A notice was given to the owners demanding them to produce documents that ascertain that they have received the approval from the relevant authorities. The construction has been stalled as of the moment. The authorities are making preparations to file a criminal case against Sri Chaitanya over alleged violation of section 311 and section 64 of the Karnataka Panchayat Raj Act 1993 as they suspect that a forged construction plan was shown to the authorities. “If they have forged the construction plan approval by the PDO, we will file a criminal case,” Manjunath.K said.
