In a shocking incident, Sandalwood actor Chetan Chandra faced a lethal attack by miscreants as he was returning from a temple near a bakery. The incident has been reported from the Kaggalipura region of Bengaluru. Chetan offered prayers in a temple near Kanakapura and was returning from his car. A youngster annoyed Chetan by constantly performing wheelies around his car for a distance of 1 Kilometre.  Later not only was his car stopped and damaged, but a metal rod was used to inflict injuries on Chetan. 

As Chetan stepped out of his car, a woman who was along with the miscreant is reported to have requested Chetan not to harm him as his actions were being done under the influence of alcohol. Chetan listened to her but soon 15-20 men gathered at the spot to attack Chetan. His chain, some cash and the mobile with which he was recording the incident was confiscated by the miscreants. Chetan sustained injuries on his head and other parts of the body. He was initially treated in the Kaggalipura Government Hospital. He was later shifted to a private hospital in Bengaluru.

A case has been registered in the Kaggalipura Police Station. One individual has been taken into custody in relation to the case.
