The market boasts two varieties of sugarcane, with a significant preference for the black variety. Various markets, including KR Market, Yeshavantpur, Basavanagudi, Vijayanagar, Jayanagar, Dasarahalli, KR Puram, and Malleswaram, are witnessing a surge in sugarcane supply. Sesame and jaggery have also made their way into the market. This time, the price of sugarcane has risen due to rain and crop deficits, leading to increased purchases in the city.
