The negligence of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officials has resulted in yet another mishap. A doctor escaped death by a whisker.
Lack of attention to clear trees that pose a danger to the public has resulted in a huge tree falling on a car while it was being driven. The incident took place in the Jeevanbhimanagar region of Bengaluru at 4 PM on 22nd April.
The car was being driven by Dr Pradeep when the tree fell on it. The doctor was along with his wife in the car at that point of time. They have sustained injuries to their legs. They are getting treated in the hospital. The car has however become permanently damaged.

Even in the absence of rains and strong winds, such instances of trees falling are being reported. This is due to a careless attitude shown by the BBMP officials. The process of identifying old trees and removing branches that pose a risk to the public is not being carried out earnestly. This has resulted in public outrage.
