Bengaluru: Family of 5 suffer grievous injuries due to fire outbreak caused by cylinder leak

In a shocking incident, a cylinder leak resulted in the spreading of fire in a building. The incident unfolded in the M.S Nagar region of Bengaluru. The region falls under the ambit of the Sampigehalli Police Station. A family of 5 including 3 children, their father and mother have been grievously injured in the process.

The family hails from Nepal. The cylinder leak occurred inside the kitchen of their house. The injured individuals have been identified as 37-year-old Madhan Chowhar, his wife 28-year-old Prem Jala, their children 12-year-old Hirad, 6-year-old Prashanth and 8-year-old Anitha. They have suffered 90% burns across their body. They are being treated at the Victoria Hospital. The incident occurred during the early hours of 30th May. The family is believed to have been sleeping when the fire broke out. They were initially treated at a primary hospital before being shifted to the Victoria Hospital.
