Bengaluru: Car washroom and garment factory consumed by fire in Electronic City

    The fire was first observed at 12:30 AM

    There was a BMW car and 40 bikes in the garage

    Estimated loss to garment factory is Rs 5 crore

An outbreak of fire has been reported in the Singasandra area of the Electronic City in Bengaluru. Timber located on the Manipal County Road was the spot wherein the fire originated. 2 cars in a car washroom located nearby caught onto fire as a result of this incident. Fire was also observed in a garment factory named ‘Lovable Sport’ that falls to the posterior side of Timber. Packs of branded readymade clothes were on fire and this eventually spread across the storage room.

The fire was first observed at 12:30 AM when chinks of tress were kept inside Timber. This later on spread to other outlets nearby. Apart from a car wash service, this included a garage located to the right side of Timber. There was a BMW car, a Tata S, a Sumaro and close to 40 bikes in the garage. 3 hours later, the fire surfaced in the garment factory located 100 metres away. The estimated loss to the garment factory is Rs 5 crore. The storage unit was on the 4th floor of the factory. 5 fire vehicles were designated to control the situation. By the early hours of 24th April, the fire was quenched. There was no loss of life as a result of the fire.
