18-year-old Kushyanth has been identified as the victim

Kushyanth is reported to have been reprimanded by Shiju over his project

An instance of suicide on account of alleged harrasment by a Head of Department (HoD) in a prestigious college has come to the forefront in Bengaluru. A final year mechatronics diploma student has passed away after having committed suicide. 

The incident occurred in the Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) Electronic City Centre (NEC). 18-year-old Kushyanth has been identified as the victim. An accusation of harassment has been made against the HoD of Industrial Management Shiju.  Kushyanth is reported to have been reprimanded by Shiju over his project work. Kushyanth’s parents have alleged that Shiju remarked that Kushyanth looks like a dead body and so does his project. 

The parents have been distressed over this incident and have pleaded that such predicaments must not fall on anyone. A complaint has been filed in the Bagalagunte Police Station. Kushyanth’s friends have also raised their voice in demand for justice for Kushyanth.
