Counting will cover three Bengaluru constituencies

Bengaluru is set to undertake the counting of votes for its Lok Sabha constituencies with three dedicated centres in the district, announced Bengaluru City Election Officer Tushar Girinath.

The counting will cover Bangalore North, Bangalore South, and Bangalore Central Lok Sabha constituencies, with extensive preparations already in place.

The counting process will strictly adhere to the limit of placing no more than 14 tables per room. For Bangalore Central, the counting will occur at Mount Carmel College, utilizing a total of eight rooms equipped with 104 tables. Bangalore South’s votes will be counted at SSMRV College, spread across nine rooms.

In Bangalore North, the counting will be conducted at St. Joseph’s School. Here, the number of polling stations has increased, necessitating the use of 130 tables across 16 rooms. Approximately 1,200 individuals have been assigned to each vote counting centre to ensure smooth operations.

This election has seen a significant increase in postal ballot votes predominantly. The counting of these ballots will begin from morning and will continue until the final round, with results being notified promptly.

Comprehensive arrangements, including essential infrastructure, CCTV systems, and a robust police presence, have been made to ensure the process is secure and efficient.
