HAL traffic police have implemented a restriction on heavy vehicles

School vehicles are exempt from this restriction, can use service road

Authorities aim to optimize traffic conditions and enhance commuting

To alleviate congestion on Marathahalli Outer Ring Road, the HAL traffic police have implemented a restriction on heavy vehicles, including goods carriers, BMTC buses, and private buses, from accessing the service road. HAL traffic police confirmed to NewsFirst Prime that the heavy vehicle movement will be restricted during peak hours from 8:00am to 11:00am and from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. This measure aims to streamline traffic flow in the area.

In an official announcement, it was stated that heavy vehicles have the option to make a U-turn at the ISRO junction in Karthiknagar. From there, they can proceed towards destinations such as ITPL, Kadugodi, and Varthur Kodi, facilitating smoother transportation routes.

For vehicles heading towards the city centre, an alternative route is suggested: making a left turn at the ISRO junction and traveling through Doddanekkundi Village to reach the HAL airport road. This diversion is expected to distribute traffic more evenly and reduce congestion along the Outer Ring Road.

Importantly, school vehicles are exempt from this restriction and are permitted to utilize the service road, ensuring that transportation for students remains unaffected.

By strategically regulating the types of vehicles allowed on the service road, the authorities aim to optimize traffic conditions and enhance the overall commuting experience for residents and commuters in the area.
