Massive heat pushing people to the brink

Have copious amounts of water as it helps keep body hydrated

Bengalureans are praying for a strong spell of rains

It’s becoming more and more unbearable for Bengalureans as the Sun god refuses relent. Massive heat has pushed people to the brink. Mercury levels have had a tremendous effect on the people, making them indisposed.

Even as people run from pillar to post to fight the scorching heat, doctors have given a set of advice to follow:

  1. Have copious amounts of water as it helps keep the body hydrated.
  2. Avoid walking in the hot sun.

Reasons for the hostile sun:

  1. Scarcity of rains
  2. Abundance in vehicles, dip in trees
  3. Want of moisture in the earth due to perennial deforestation

Day by day the garden city faces more and more trouble. With tar roads ruling the roost, there are no pores available for water to seek through and increase underground water table. At the same time, there is an absence of mud. Mud helps in absorbing heat better. Add to these, the sudden vanishing of water bodies like lakes.

All that Bengalureans are praying for is a strong spell of rains which will bring down the soaring temperatures and provide the much-needed relief.
