It is alleged that Karthik has scammed people of lakhs of rupees

Karthik and his family are currently not in Bengaluru

The owner of the well known “Idly Guru” food outlets in Bengaluru has been accused of indulging in illegal activities. It is alleged that he has scammed people of lakhs of rupees by promising to have franchises registered in their names. A complaint has been filed against the owner of Idly Guru Karthik Shetty, his wife and several others. 

An individual named Chetan filed a complaint in the Kamakshipalya Police Station. He is reported to have promised to people that he would promote their business through Foodcart. However Karthik Shetty supposedly did not follow up on his promise. When asked for an update, he is said to have misdirected them into investing in some other avenue. 

Apart from this, speculations of having scammed people by receiving commissions are also being made. More than 10 people across Bengaluru are apparently affected by this affair. There are talks that Karthik and his family are currently not in Bengaluru and have relocated to a different state after anger among people towards them intensified.
