The response time of Hoysala police patrol vehicles in Bengaluru has been enhanced, with the latest improvement bringing it down to 7.15 minutes.
During a critical incident at the Upparpet police station, the team of Hoysala patrolling vehicle-78 was swiftly alerted to an emergency at 4.34 pm. An unemployed graduate, who had migrated to Bengaluru for employment opportunities, was discovered attempting self-harm in a guest house at Gandhinagar.
Remarkably, the Hoysala police managed to reach the scene within a mere 7 minutes, promptly breaking open the door of the room. They successfully rescued the distressed youth and counselled him before reuniting him with his family.
Bengaluru’s Hoysala service, comprising of 241 patrol vehicles with 2 to 3 vehicles allotted to each police station, has strategically positioned these units to function not only as mobile stations but also as initial emergency responders.
Initiated back in 1998 to provide rapid aid during emergencies, the Hoysala service has continuously improved its response time through the integration of advanced technologies.
These vehicles are strategically located, leveraging geo-positioning and efficient coordination with the control room to effectively monitor and guide Hoysala units towards distress spots in a timely manner.
