The fire broke out at the Nexa and Cultfit building near Tavarekere Junction on Marigowda Road, leading to a slowdown in the traffic flow. The fire originated in a pub situated on the fourth floor of this building in Koramangala, opposite Nexus Mall. The exact cause of the fire remains uncertain, although unverified accounts suggest it may have been triggered by a cylinder explosion in the kitchen.

Mudpipe Cafe in Koramangala was identified as the starting point of the fire, and it is believed that the individual who jumped from the fourth floor was an employee of Mudpipe.

Upon noticing the smoke billowing from the building, bystanders promptly raised the alarm and took action to rescue any individuals who might have been trapped. Emergency services, including the police and fire brigade, were immediately notified and mobilized.
