Bengaluru Police have apprehended five individuals in connection with the assault on Suresh, an auditor with a private firm.

The disturbing incident, captured on a viral video, shows the assailants beating Suresh with an iron rod on the ring road near Kalyan Nagar.

Among the arrested are Umashankar and Vinesh, colleagues of Suresh at a milk product company. Allegedly, they hired goons to carry out the attack due to workplace grievances. Suresh’s stringent auditing practices allegedly led to clashes, prompting resentment.

The accused admitted to the crime, citing pressure and harassment from Suresh. The police revealed that before Suresh’s tenure, lax auditing protocols prevailed, and his actions triggered resentment among colleagues.

Following the assault video going viral on social media, the Hennur police swiftly acted, leading to the arrests. Further investigation is underway to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy and ensure justice for the victim.

The incident has sparked conversations about workplace dynamics and employee conduct in Bengaluru’s corporate landscape, urging stakeholders to address underlying issues to prevent such behaviour.
