October 19th would be a day of a clash of heavyweights in the box office. Shiva Rajkumar-starrer Ghost would be facing competition from Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Leo, Balakrishna-starrer Bhagvant Keasri and Ravi Teja-starrer Tiger Nageshwara Rao. In the race to garner the maximum number of shows for day-1, Leo seems to have taken the lead. Leo has managed to get more than 1075 shows on October 19th. A majority of these shows would be in Tamil although the Kannada dubbed version of the film has also managed to get more than 15 shows.

Ghost has also managed to command quite an influence by getting more than 250 shows across the city. Bhagvant Kesari also has a commendable presence with more than 140 shows to its name. Tiger Nageshwara Rao’s shows however remain to be in single digits hovering close to 30.

Leo has created a buzz in other southern states as well. The producers of Leo have approached the court with a request to grant a 4 AM release for the first day. The Telugu version of the film is facing challenges owing to a claim on the title by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainment. Leo is expected to have a great start to its theatrical run with speculations of surpassing Rajnikanth’s Jailer making rounds.
