Man was traumatised on account of the claustrophobic setup
An incident of a person being stuck inside the toilet of an aeroplane has come to the forefront in Bengaluru. This occurred inside a SpiceJet flight SG-268 headed to Bengaluru from Mumbai that took off at 2 A.M.
The passenger visited the toilet getting up from his 14-D seat after the flight took off and the seat belt sign came off. The door however malfunctioned when he was inside.
He was stuck inside the toilet throughout the journey. The crew attempted to help him after hearing his cries but failed in their efforts. He was passed a note which read, “Sir we tried our best to open the door, however, we could not. Do not panic. We are landing in a few minutes, so please close the commode lid and sit on it and secure yourself. As soon as the main door is open, an engineer will come,” when the flight was close to landing.
When the flight landed at 3:42 AM, engineers got into the flight and rescued the man who was stuck for close to 2 hours by breaking open the door. He is reported to have been traumatised on account of the claustrophobic setup.
