On the day of the Shivratri festival, Ashwini while on her way from Hassan to Bengaluru lost her dog Damboo on Arasikere highway when her dog in the car she parked on the highway went missing. She is a resident of Bagalagunte in  Bengaluru. Despite extensive efforts over the next five to six days, it remained elusive. The distressing situation prompted Ashwini’s family to offer a reward for Damboo’s safe return.

This news prompted a change of heart in the person who had initially found Damboo, leading them to return the dog to an auto driver on March 15th.
