Bengaluru: More than 10 outlets of Meghana Foods raided by IT Department

    Officials of the IT Department from Karnataka and Goa were involved in raids

    Discrepancies in ITR filed by Meghana Foods resulted in raids

Meghana Foods which is a popular outlet across Bengaluru for their Biryani has faced shock in the early hours of 19th March. Officials of the Income Tax (IT) Department conducted raids across various outlets of Meghana Foods. This includes the Koramangala branch, Indiranagar branch and the Jayanagar branch. 

Chain of hotels and restaurants are run under the banner of Meghana Foods. Discrepancies in the income tax returns filed by the outlet have resulted in the raid. The raids were conducted at 5 AM on 19th March. Investigation is underway.
