Bengaluru: Mother kills daughter during fight that ensued after PUC exam results

    Both of them attacked each other with a knife

In a shocking incident, a fight between a mother and her daughter escalated to the point of both of them attacking each other with a knife. The incident has been reported to have occurred within the ambit of the Banashankari Police Station. 18-year Sahiti died as a result of this attack from the hands of her mother.

Sahiti was a bright student in her Pre University Course (PUC). However, in the results which were recently published, it came to the forefront that she had not attended 2 of the examinations. She was marked as having failed in those 2 subjects. Her mother Padmaja who was involved in teaching her desired a good result. This was the cause of the fight. Such fights are also reported to have taken place in the past. 

On the evening of 29th April, the fight is said to have broken out at 7:30 PM. They are both believed to have attacked each other with a knife. Sahiti reportedly died on the spot. Padmaja sustained injuries but her life is currently out of danger. She is being treated in a private hospital.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of the Bengaluru South Division Lokesh B rushed to the spot of the crime upon receiving information of the incident to conduct investigations. A case has been registered in the Banashankari Police Station.
