A shocking incident has come to light at the RMZ Galleria Residency Apartment in Yelahanka. The death of a mother and her son came to light 4 days after the incident. Primary observations indicate that the mother killed her son by hanging his body from a ceiling after which she laid his body on the bed. She subsequently killed herself. 

Officials associated with the Yelahanka Police Station visited the apartment and sent the body for post mortem. DCP V.J Sajith provided extensive details about the incident. The mother, 40-year-old Ramya hails from Kolar. Her son has been identified as 13-year-old Bhargav. Ramya married Shridhar Pulivarthi hailing from Andhra Pradesh. The two of them had fallen in love and belonged to different castes. Shridhar died 3 months back owing to cancer. The police are still awaiting the Forensics Science Laboratory (FSL) report to conclusively understand the sequence of events.

Ramya also has a 19-year-old daughter who was staying in a P.G accommodation at the time of the incident. Ramya had last contacted her daughter on the night of June 9th. Ramya is said to have gone into depression after her husband’s death. The family is said to have been overcome by financial difficulties after Shridhar’s death. A death note is reported to have been recovered from the site of the tragedy.
