In the backdrop of the Lok Sabha elections, Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) is making arrangements to provide transport facilities to election observers for the smooth conduct of the electoral process.
As part of this effort, the State Transport Department has initiated a comprehensive initiative to allocate vehicles to election observers. Under the directives of the District Election Officer, a total of 1,700 vehicles have been earmarked for the purpose of facilitating the movement of senior officers tasked with observing the electoral proceedings, especially those arriving from other states for the general election.
The responsibility of ensuring the provision of these vehicles fell upon the District Election Officer, who was entrusted with the task of coordinating logistical arrangements for the observers’ transportation needs during election. Vehicles from various governmental departments, including the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Bangalore Development Authority (BDA), and the Revenue Department are being taken over by MVD.
This operation being carried out under the guidance of District Election Officer Tushar Giri Nath is aimed at allotting government officials’ vehicles to prevent any potential misuse or interference in the electoral process.
In accordance with these instructions, MVD officials are being deployed to allot a total of 1,700 official vehicles, thereby ensuring the integrity and impartiality of the electoral procedures. This proactive measure underscored the commitment to uphold the sanctity of the electoral process and maintain a level playing field for all stakeholders involved.
