Bengaluru: NIA Officials conduct spot inspection of Rameshwaram Cafe along with suspects

A bomb blast had taken place at the Rameshwaram Cafe located on the ITPL Main Road in Kundalahalli on March 1st. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a spot investigation along with the suspects in the case. 

The prime suspects in the case include Musavir Hussain Shajib and Abdul Mutheen Ahmed Taha belonging to Kolkata. 50 police officers belonging to the Whitefield Division were designated for the security arrangements for the spot inspection. The suspect Musavir Hussain Shajib was made to wear the same dress and cap he had worn when he visited the location on the day of the blast.

The bomb blast occurred on March 1st. The spot inspection took place 5 months after the incident. A recreation of the sequence of events on the day was carried out. How the suspect arrived at the location, what he had ordered after having arrived at the location, the time lapsed between the order he placed and the bomb blast which took place were all mapped out. Other details which are yet to be deciphered include the bag with which he had brought the explosive device, the places he visited after the blast, the bus stops he passed by and the reason for choosing Rameshwaram Cafe as the location for the bomb blast.
