Investigating the Rameshwaram Cafe blast has been a huge challenge for the Bengaluru Police. Whether the suspected terrorist had other plans also needs to be examined. The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has now entered the field for investigation.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has also gotten involved in the process. A case was registered in this regard on 3rd March. The investigation will start within 2 days.

Meanwhile the CCB conducted interrogations in the Rameshwaram cafe on 3rd March. They spoke to the manager and the staff. They traced the path traversed by the suspect and also noted the spot wherein he washed his hand.

The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report indicates that several explosives were used for the bomb preparation. An improvised explosive device was used to carry out the act. The chemical used for the bomb has also been identified. It was potassium nitrate and hydrogen peroxide. The sample of the explosives also provides insights into the chemicals used for setting the timer. The suspect supposedly left the cafe at 11:30 AM after having set the bomb to explode at 1 PM. It is being assumed that this manoeuvre allowed him enough time to go beyond Bengaluru.
