Transition was marked by a ceremonial launch by Transport Minister

On December 29, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) successfully shifted the operations of its Flybus services from Kempegowda International Airport’s Terminal 1 to Terminal 2.

This transition was marked by a ceremonial launch attended by Minister for Transport and Muzrai Department, Ramalinga Reddy. Notably, the Flybus service, which initially began with a single bus in 2013, has expanded its fleet to an impressive 13 buses.

Passengers arriving at Terminal 2 now have the convenience of availing Flybus services for destinations such as Mysuru, Madikeri, and Kundapura. The Flybus, known for its modern amenities, features ultra-modern interiors, reclining hi-tech passenger seats, imported floor carpeting, two LCD TVs (26” & 17”), a bio-toilet restroom, and GPS connectivity.

It’s worth mentioning that Terminal 1 will continue to be served by the Flybus, ensuring a seamless transition for both arrivals and departures.

Simultaneously, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has also initiated operations from Terminal 2, providing convenient connectivity with 137 Vayu Vajra buses covering 18 routes daily across the city.

These buses collectively make 944 single trips, covering an extensive distance of 47,907 km and catering to an average of 14,000 passengers daily.

The combined efforts of KSRTC and BMTC aim to enhance the overall transportation experience for air travelers in Bengaluru.
