Schools associated with The Associated Management of Primary and Secondary Schools in Karnataka (KAMS) have seen an increase in fees in the range of 10% to 15%. The Secretary of KAMS Shashikumar stated that an increase of 10-15% is unavoidable but an increase of 30% is outside legal boundaries. He suggested that parents must complain to the Department of School Education and Literacy with regard to this issue.

It remains to be seen whether a complaint will result in any constructive action by the government. Whether their authority stretches itself to take any action on this issue is unclear at the moment. There has officially been no response from the government on this crisis.
