In a significant development, the Telugu Movie Artistes Association (MAA) has lifted the suspension of actress Hema, who was previously implicated in a drug-related case during a rave party in Bengaluru. The decision came after the executive committee, led by MAA President Vishnu Manchu, thoroughly discussed the matter and voted in favour of Hema’s reinstatement.

According to sources, the committee engaged in detailed deliberations before President Vishnu Manchu proposed lifting the suspension. The proposal received unanimous support from the committee members, leading to an immediate revocation of Hema's suspension. The news brought much-needed relief to Hema, who had reportedly endured several sleepless nights during this period of uncertainty. With this decision, she is now free to resume her work in the film industry without any hindrance.
Hema had previously approached the top office-bearers of MAA, urging them to reconsider their decision after her lab reports returned negative for drug use. She garnered significant support from her colleagues, which played a crucial role in swaying the committee’s decision.
Vice President Madala Ravi confirmed the revocation, stating that the decision was based on a majority vote and aligned with the association’s commitment to safeguarding its members' interests without bias. The 18-member executive committee, along with other senior members, participated in the decision-making process, ensuring fairness and transparency.
