A 11-year-old rape and murder case has been solved by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Three men named Narasimha Murthy, Deepak and Hariprasad. On 15th February 2023, a woman named Vijaya was taken to the Nandini groves, raped before being murdered. Narasimha Murthy and Hariprasad worked in a bank. Vijaya’s husband Balakrishna also worked in the same bank. Her body was found in the Nilgiri groves near Chikkajala. Balakrishna was initially arrested by the Chikkajala Police. A few days later, it became clear that he had no role in the murder.
A C-Report was filed by the police authorities in the court. The court ordered an extended enquiry. The police investigation uncovered the role of an individual named Deepak. Deepak spilled information about the role of Narasimha Murthy and Hariprasad. Naramsinha Murthy was the bank manager whereas Hariprasad was Balkrishna’s colleague.

The police have collected technical and scientific evidence to establish their role in the crime. A chargesheet has been submitted in the court naming all 3 individuals.
