The murder of Indian National Congress (INC) worker and actress Vidya had shocked Karnataka. She was murder by her husband during an escalation of a heated argument. The police investigation has uncovered the exact sequence of events that resulted in the murder. 

The snatching of her husband’s phone resulted in angering him to the point of committing this heinous act. The incident occurred in the Thuraganuru village in the Mysuru district. Vidya’s husband was recording the argument on his phone. This angered Vidya who snatched the phone. Viday’s husband Nandeesh demanded that she return the phone. He later struck her head with an iron rod. The severe bleeding led to Vidya dying on the spot.

Nandeesh is currently under judicial custody. The judicial custody was granted for a period of 14 days. Vidya hails from Srirampura. Viday had 2 children from her marriage with Nandeesh. 

She was the Principal Secretary of the INC in the Mysuru district. Reports suggest that she was given another important position in the party recently. She has appeared in various films. With Nandeesh likely to be behind bars for a long time and Vidya dead, the 2 children are also bound to face the harshest consequences of this tragedy.
