    Bengaluru Police to issue guidelines for New Year's

    Inspectors asked to meet pub, restaurant owners

    No deviation in guidelines will be spared

The last week of December and the day of New Year are always tricky for the policemen as they are days of revelry and celebrations. 

People get out to immerse themselves in jubilation. 

Keeping this in mind, the Bengaluru Police are getting ready to issue guidelines so that no untoward incident takes place. In this regard, police inspectors of all stations have been asked to meet pub and restaurant owners and inform them about the guidelines. 

And in case, there is any flouting of guidelines, they have been asked to book cases against them using relevant sections. 

No new guidelines for Christmas and NYE 

Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has clarified that, as of now, there are no new guidelines being issued for Christmas and New Year’s. However, if people who visit the state are symptomatic (cough, cold and fever), they have undergo tests.
