The first fixture of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is scheduled on 25th April. The police authorities have intensified security measures in light of the Rameshwaram Cafe Blast that rocked the city on March 1st.
Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads are surveying the stadiums. District- Special Weapons and Tactics Team (D-SWAT) and C-SWAT units will also be assigned on the location. A Mobile Command Centre Vehicle and 4 KSRP squads have been designated to the location. Drones have also been arranged for monitoring the situation. Watch towers have been placed on all 4 corners of the stadium.

No spectator will be allowed into the stadium without going through this procedure. Bags and water bottles are not allowed inside the stadium.
