The Bengaluru Police have identified 2 couples involved in a travelling sex service racket. The arrests took place in the Pulakeshinagar region of Bengaluru. 

The couples travelled across India to provide services to their clients whom they got in touch with through social media. One of the couples were from Haryana and the other were from Gujarat although they stayed in Delhi. They were in their 30s. They even had children. Reddit and Telegram groups consisting of such couples and their customers were uncovered by the police. 100s of such couples are suspected to be operating across India. 

The modus operandi was that the couples would convey information pertaining to their travel to the group. Customers would then contact them to book slots and pay for the service. They would then meet up at a 5-star restaurant arranged for by the customers. Their visits would last for a period of 2-3 days after which they would return home for a period of 2-3 months. 

The couples even had legal arrangements made. Their lawyers showed up as soon as they were arrested by the police. They were booked under section 383 of the Indian Penal Code and the Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act however complications will arise in pressing charges due to the consual nature of the act.
