Along with the money, a letter has been uncovered

Police were perplexed by the serial numbers of these dollar bills having been underlined

On November 5th, a ragpicker had come across 2.5 million dollars in the bush alongside a rail crossing near Hebbal. He handed it over to his owner. Another person who witnessed this reported the incident to the police commissioner. This information was immediately conveyed to the Hebbal police station. 

The police are now suspecting that the dollars could be fake. Along with the money, a letter has been uncovered. It contains the letterhead of a leading global organisation. The letter mentions that this is money which was received from America for developmental causes. The letter also mentions that this entire transaction has to be kept a secret. 

The Hebbal police have written a letter to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) pertaining to this case. The police were perplexed by the serial numbers of these dollar bills having been underlined. Would the Hebbal police get to the bottom of this case? The million dollar question remains unanswered.
