The investigation of the Rameshwaram Cafe blast being jointly investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Central Crime Branch (CCB) has opened up the possibility of the suspect having crossed state and national borders as well. NIA and CCB are conducting investigations on all locations wherein the suspect has been identified. It has been 11 days but the suspect is yet to be apprehended. However some key details about the individual have been ascertained. It is believed that the suspect is a native of Karnataka. “We have come close. We have ascertained his identity. We are yet to confirm it. We have got a solid lead,” Home Minister G.Parameshwara said. 

The suspect is believed to have travelled to Goreguntapalya after having planted the bomb. He is then believed to have landed in Bellary by bus. He is said to have roamed around in the bus stop for 45 minutes before boarding a bus to Kalburagi. He supposedly got down midway in the Hanumaghada Junction. He reportedly disposed of his simless phone of a basic set at this location. There is a possibility that he may have travelled to Hyderabad and subsequently out of India from here. The NIA and CCB are conducting investigations in Kalaburagi as well.
