The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) squad has not had much  luck going their way in terms of securing the coveted trophy. The changes made to the team ahead of and during the auction has raised concerns with regard to depth, especially in the bowling department. Another complaint among fans has been that although Bangalore has been renamed to Bengaluru in 2014, the change hasn’t reflected on the RCB franchise since the last ten years. This could however change. 

The franchise made an announcement of an RCB unbox that is scheduled on March 19th. The announcement was made through a video on the microblogging site X (formerly known as Twitter). The video featured Sandalwood actor Rishabh Shetty. Rishabh Shetty was seen in his rustic rural avatar. 3 bulls, each with a shawl containing the name Royal, Challengers and Bangalore were inspected by Rishabh Shetty. Rishabh Shetty is seen instructing a person to get rid of the bull that had Bangalore inscribed on its shawl. Rishabh Shetty then looks at the camera asking if they understood the reference. This has led to speculations that in all likelihood RCB will now stand for (Royal Challengers Bengaluru) and an announcement in this regard will be made on March 19th.
