A disturbing road accident involving a school bus has sparked concern in Bengaluru, just days after traffic authorities launched a crackdown on drunk driving among school vehicle drivers.

The footage, recorded on Wednesday morning, captures the school bus speeding along a main road, striking a motorcyclist, and crashing into a car. The biker appears to have sustained serious injuries, though the condition of bus passengers and occupants of the other vehicle remains unclear. The crash unfolded in broad daylight, prompting questions about driver alertness and vehicle speed.
The incident follows a recent enforcement drive by the Bengaluru Traffic Police. Earlier this week, authorities conducted a surprise operation targeting drunk driving among school bus drivers. The three-hour morning check, covering 4,559 drivers, led to 58 being booked for operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol.
The Mahadevapura traffic police have acknowledged the incident and confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the collision. While it has not been officially established whether intoxication or speeding played a role, social media users have speculated that excessive speed and driver distraction may have contributed.
The shocking sequence of events has reignited debates on school transport safety and the need for stricter enforcement and monitoring.
