Despite having got a bail in relation to a kidnapping case, the former Public Works Department (PWD) Minister of Karnataka H.D Revanna is faced with a series of difficult situations. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is contemplating approaching the high court challenging the decision of the Magistrate Court that granted bail to him. Senior officials of the SIT are holding consultations in this regard.
The SIT is making attempts to nab the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate from Hassan Prajwal Revanna, who is currently absconding in a foreign country. The SIT has written a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs requesting them to cancel the diplomatic passport of Prajwal Revanna. They attached the lookout notice and blue corner along with their letter. They provided details pertaining to 3 cases of sexual assault. They also requested information about his current whereabouts.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devaraje Gowda who has been arrested in relation to a sexual assault case is a key suspect for the SIT over the sharing of Prajwal Revanna’s videos that created a political uproar across India. Upon his police custody coming to an end, the 5th additional civil court in Hassan provided the SIT custody of the suspect until 24th May.
