Sandalwood actress Sonu Gowda who was recently arrested over not following the legal procedure for adoption has faced further complications in the case. 

Sonu recently visited the Kabbalamma temple along with her friend. She made a reel with her adopted child after having visited the temple and talked about how she took care of the child. However the case has raised questions about the authenticity of her version of the events. Sonu reportedly took her child along with her to apparently purchase bangles and necklaces. It is now being probed whether Sonu already had a tie up with the stores for prompting their outlet. 

The most serious allegations against Sonu are regarding potential child abuse. She is said to have made the child cook food for her at home as she did not prefer to have food outside. Sonu supposedly verbally abused the child for not performing the household chores effectively. One of Sonu’s friend is suspected to be involved in child abuse, sources in the Child Welfare Commiitee(CWC) conducted talks with the child following which this information is believed to have been gathered. He can also be expected to face police action The FIR which has already been filed might witness the addition of other sections of the IPC. CWC may levy charges under the Child Labour (Prohibition & Regulation) Amendment Act.
