The Byappanahalli Police have arrested an individual who worked as a Swiggy delivery agent by the day and stole bikes at night. The accused has been identified as Deepak alias Deepu. 

Deepak has 14 cases registered against him across various police stations. The police have recovered 5 bikes amounting to Rs 3 lakh from him. Deepak would work as a Swiigy delivery from morning until evening. He would steal bikes parked outside of homes thereafter at night.

He would use his delivery orders as an opportunity to survey the positioning of bikes in various localities. He would also choose spots wherein the presence of people and CCTV cameras are minimal. He would then sell the bikes at a discount. He would make false promises to the buyers with regard to providing the necessary documents for the bike at a later date. A complaint has been registered in the Byappanahalli Police Station against Deepak.
